Then you should definitely consider a relaxing getaway in the 25-person holiday home Chez Philippe. This residence is full of surprises and is also located in one of the most beautiful parts of Belgium, with both the Netherlands and Germany just around the corner.
Renovation
In 2007, Philippe and his wife Béatrice became the owners of this 17th-century building. As a professional restorer of half-timbering, Philippe was the ideal person to restore the building with love and respect. Thanks to his passion for the profession, Chez Philippe has definitely become the showpiece of Philippe and Béatrice. The half-timbering can be admired from the inside and outside of the building.
Let's take a look inside
After entering Chez Philippe, you will find yourself in the entrance hall. From here, you have access to the living area, which invites you to lounge in front of the wood-burning stove and enjoy a glass of wine. The kitchen has two long wooden dining tables and is equipped with all conveniences including a 6-burner ceramic hob, large oven, microwave, dishwasher and all kitchen utensils needed to prepare a delicious meal. On the ground floor you will also find a separate toilet, two double bedrooms (one of which has an extra cot) and a wheelchair accessible bathroom with a shower, washbasin and toilet.
On the first floor are seven unique bedrooms, two separate toilets, two bathrooms with shower and washbasin and one bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The bedrooms include one double room with private bathroom (that has a shower and washbasin), one double room with a canopy bed, one double room with an extra cot, one triple room, one quad room and one double room which is connected to the six-bed room. The six-bed room has two entrances and its own bathroom with shower and washbasin. Furthermore, this room has two box-spring beds and one custom-made bunk bed for four people that always brings a smile to the faces of our young guests.
Outdoor space
Chez Philippe is all about enjoying being outdoors. Not only do you have access to a large garden with a boules court, table tennis table, and sandpit, but also to a 6-hectare area across the street. Here you will find a beach volleyball court and a campfire were everyone can gather around in the evenings. You always have the opportunity to eat al fresco thanks to the two covered terraces: one at the holiday home and one in the outdoor area, which even has an outdoor kitchenette and a large barbecue grill. We hope you have enough time to explore the surroundings and get to enjoy some hiking, cycling, and picnicking.
