In the beautiful, undulating landscape of Gemmenich, less than 4 kilometres from the Dutch border, you will find the luxurious 39-person holiday home ‘Iets Moois’. Coupled with its peaceful location, this spacious holiday home provides all the inspiration and luxury you need for a wonderful stay with friends and family.
History of the property
At the beginning of the 20th century, the building was part of a large farmstead called Gut Linde. This farmstead was named after the gigantic, centuries-old lime tree that adorned the 9-hectare site. In 2006, the farmstead was bought up and divided among the current three owners. Back then, Iets Moois was nothing more than a simple building plot. Nevertheless, the new owners immediately saw the potential of the place and started a lengthy renovation. The result of this renovation is a magnificent, immensely large holiday home that is not only attractive to the eye, but also eco-friendly.
Let's take a look inside
Entering the hall of the holiday home, you will immediately get that feeling of spaciousness. The hall leads onto the L-shaped, sunlit dining room. The industrial-look, power-floated concrete floor contrasts beautifully with the room’s charming and colourful interior design. The walls are decorated with modern paintings. These paintings are for sale, as are many other pieces of art in the home. Sitting at one of the custom-designed tables, which together have space for 40 guests and can be moved easily, you can enjoy a gorgeous view of the undulating hills and fruit orchards. Enjoy hearty, local dishes with your friends and family. This dinner can be prepared in the large, open-plan, fully equipped kitchen with two dishwashers, two ovens, two fridges, freezer, a luxury coffee machine, and a range of cooking utensils and crockery. You can enjoy the central fireplace both in the dining room and in the living room. From the dining room, you walk through to the living room and enjoy the very cosy space with orange sofas, vibrant art pieces, and tables made of tree trunks. The room is also equipped with a large TV (with DVD player) and has various magazines.
In total, the holiday home has fourteen bedrooms spread over three floors. All bedrooms are attractively furnished and have single box-spring beds. Twelve bedrooms have their own bathroom. The basement has three double bedrooms, which all have an en-suite with an Italian-designed washbasin, rain shower, and toilet. In addition, there is a colourful bedroom for eight children in the basement, complete with various games, a TV with DVDs, and en-suite. The first floor has five double bedrooms and one triple bedroom, all en-suite. The second floor has two quadruple rooms with en-suite and two double bedrooms with a shared bathroom with a whirlpool bath, Italian-designed washbasin, and toilet. When dividing up the rooms, please have a look at the floor plan (shown alongside the photos of the property).
Outdoor space
The showpiece of Iets Moois is surely the enormous garden, everything that goes with it and the lovely terrace where everyone can enjoy the outdoors together. A little further down the hill you will find a true children's paradise with a ping-pong table, sandpit, various playground equipment and plenty of space to play. There is also a great feature for adults, namely a lovely area where you can make campfires and have a barbecue. Cosy evenings guaranteed.
