This home features ten bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a unique living area with open kitchen, a play area, a wellness area and much more. Then and now
An der Our used to be a forge which was a popular meeting place for local residents from 1920 on. According to the stories, people gathered here to drink beer and play skittles. After a while the forge turned into a farm. In 2012, the characteristic building with its beautiful stone walls and old wooden rafters was bought by the current owners: Mir & Marcel and Ans & John. They turned it into a unique, luxury holiday home while managing to keep most of the authentic elements. The atmosphere of the old forge can still be felt.
Let’s take a look inside
You enter the holiday home in the welcoming entrance hall. Then you walk through to the beautiful, large living room. On one side of the room you will find a spacious lounge area with fireplace. On the other side there is a fine dining area with a large wooden dining table. This dining area has a playful look thanks to its chairs with various colours and designs and is ideal for dinner parties with friends and family. Dinner can be made in the well-equipped kitchen which has a large cooking island with two 5-burner gas hobs, a steamer, two convection ovens and a dishwasher. The steel spiral staircase in the living room leads to the mezzanine, where you will find a second living room. Various games and books are available.
An der Our offers ten charming bedrooms, which al have an ensuite bathroom and their own special features. Will you choose the master bedroom with the lovely freestanding bath, the spacious family room with beautiful old beams or the master bedroom with stunning views of the forest? You can’t choose wrong - all are good choices. The new section of the house not only offers two bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, but also a multifunctional room with pool table and football table. This bright, multifunctional room bordering a large meadow is perfect for different kinds of group activities such as yoga, painting, mindfulness or writing.
Outdoor space
The outdoor area is at least as enchanting as the indoor area. The living room offers access to a large terrace where everyone can dine or barbecue together while enjoying the beautiful views. The new wing also adjoins a wonderful outdoor area. On this side you have a roof terrace with lounge chairs, a garden with a picnic table and to top it off an outdoor spa. Feel free to use the sauna, outdoor shower and wood-fired hot tub. While enjoying this spa and overlooking the woods and the babbling river you will definitely find complete relaxation.
