The 12-person holiday home ‘t Voorhuys is located in the beautiful Rozendaal nature reserve. ‘T Voorhuys is part of an ancient farmhouse called ‘de Heerenhof’. It was completely restored and rebuilt in 2008 by ‘Stichting het Limburgs Landschap’, a foundation that protects Limburg’s natural heritage and monuments. The former living quarters are now the holiday home ‘t Voorhuys, and the old barn has been transformed into the holiday home ‘t Achterhuys.
Let's take a look inside
After entering the hall, you can walk through to the living room, which is tastefully furnished and has a wood-burning stove. Next to this living room, there is also an adjoining second living room with leather sofas. Here you can open the garden door and enjoy the view over the orchard. Besides, this room leads you to the first double bedroom and its bathroom.
Also located on the ground floor is the large living kitchen, which is equipped with all conveniences like a dishwasher, 5-burner gas hob, large oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine and kettle. The long wooden dining table is ideal for extensive dining. The walls on the ground floor are finished with mud plaster and the floor carries an antique red coloured tile, giving the house a warm look.
On the upper floor, where the ancient beam structure has been preserved in its entirety, are five double bedrooms. The bedrooms have luxury single box-spring beds, comfortably nestled in-between the old timber frames. The upper floor also has three bathrooms, each with a shower, washbasin, and toilet.
Outdoor space
Heerenhof - ‘t Voorhuys has a private garden located on the right side of the building, offering fantastic views over the meadows. The farm has a lovely private terrace at the front, as well as a table tennis table and a play area for the children.
The area
We definitely recommend exploring the beautiful surroundings. The holiday home is located at the edge of the forest, in the 280-hectare nature reserve Rozendaal – a varied landscape that hikers are sure to love. Explore a world of deciduous and coniferous forests, avenues of ancient trees, and colourful fields full of bright-red poppies, cornflowers, and camomile. You could also take a walk to the ruins of Kasteel Montfort (Montfort castle).
Larger group?
If you are looking to stay with a larger group, we recommend booking ‘t Voorhuys in combination with ‘t Achterhuys. Together, these residences can sleep 23 guests. The dining area at ‘t Voorhuys is large enough for all of you to dine together. Due to its location on Rozendaal Estate, this venue is not suitable for parties and/or youth groups.

Please note
The first floor of the house is not very suitable for people who have mobility difficulties due to the beam construction.
