After several years of renovation, De Lamderije – the former sheepcote of the proud owners Klaas and Ciel – has been given a new purpose as a holiday home. This splendid building with a rural character is situated on the edge of Remersdaal village, in the Belgian Voer region.
Indoors
Natural materials, cheerful colours, and country-style furnishings create a warm and welcoming ambiance in the home. Enter the house via a spacious hallway that gives access to the kitchen on your left and a bedroom on your right. The kitchen is fitted with every convenience, including a large induction cooker with three ovens. The Quooker tap provides instant boiling water for a delicious cup of tea. The half-open kitchen contains an extra table with chairs so that you can enjoy one another’s company while you cook. Next to the kitchen is the open dining and sitting room. Here, you’ll find a large dining table, chairs, and a spacious corner sofa with a view of the garden. The authentic ceiling is a reminder of the De Lamderije’s former purpose. On the ground floor there is also an extra toilet, a washing machine, a dryer, an extra fridge, and a double bedroom with two single beds, one of which can be adjusted electrically. The ground-floor bedroom and bathroom are accessible for wheelchair users.
Climb the stairs to the first-floor landing to access the other three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own colour theme which is playfully reflected in the furnishings. There are two double bedrooms and one quad bedroom. All the bedrooms are spacious and have their own bathroom with shower, washbasin, and toilet.
Outdoors
It may be lovely and cosy indoors but make sure to also spend some time outdoors as the house has four patios! The back door provides access to the private garden with a grassy area, two outdoor patios, and a covered patio where you can always sit in the shade. There is also a large patio to the side of the house. This patio catches the sun for much of the day. We recommend exploring the beautiful Voer region by foot or by bike! De Lamderije is an ideal base to explore the area. Bicycles can be stored safely in the lockable shed.
