Veurs is a half-timbered farmhouse surrounded by fruit orchards located in the beautiful hamlet of Veurs in the Belgian Voer region. The building dates back to 1700 and was always used as a farmhouse. In 2000, the building was completely refurbished and transformed into a delightful holiday home. Come and enjoy a unique stay in this splendid example of half-timber house. There are several surprises in store for you!
Indoors
Enter the house through the back door like a true Limburg local. You’ll find yourself in the hall, which provides access to the cosy living room. Walk through to the open-plan kitchen with a large kitchen island. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a five-zone ceramic hob, fan oven, microwave, two fridges, freezer, a coffee machine, kettle, and dishwasher. All the essentials are provided for you to cook and enjoy lovely dinners.
The kitchen then leads on to the dining room, the heart of the holiday home. This stylish dining room features a long wooden dining table and the room’s large windows provide a spectacular view over the fruit orchard and meadows. Adjacent to the dining room is a second living room with comfortable sofas and a wood burner. Downstairs there is a cosy double bedroom with a separate toilet, a washbasin, and an indulgent freestanding bathtub. Another double bedroom on the mezzanine contains two separate beds.
Two separate staircases lead up to the upper floor. Upstairs you’ll find five unique bedrooms, each one even more inviting than the previous. The clay wall finish, half-timbered constructions, shutters, and small windows give the holiday home an authentic feel. On the upper floors there are also three toilets, a shower, and two beautiful bathrooms with bath. Another toilet and a shower can be found off the downstairs hallway.
Outdoors
The patio doors in the dining room open out directly onto the patio. Relax on the patio under the parasol and enjoy the spectacular view. There is also a six-person sauna that is available for your use. The garden covers an area of 2,000 m2 and is adorned with a wide variety of fruit trees. It is also a great place for children to play. They can make use of the climbing frame and football goal and have lots of fun outdoors. The garden is also fully fenced off so you can feel comfortable letting your dog off the lease.
The Veurs holiday home is not suitable for groups of young people.
